I searched but couldn't come up with an answer. I'm considering fabricating my own exhaust system. I have a lift and welder. I'm planning on using shorty headers but don't see where I can buy the flanged downpipes to start the system. The car is a 66 coupe.

Interesting question. I haven't looked at the old set of Chevy SB headers for some time but I surely admire your ingenuity. Are you running them into a collector pipe?

Run down to your local Midas shop...... No, I don't mean have THEM do your exhaust but I'm sure they have both flanged pipe and flanges.
