i have a comp cams 270h in my cleveland. it has a nice lope at idle, but i have what feels like a miss when i'm driving under 2000 rpm. when i give it gas, it accelerates without hesitation. could it be the lope in the cam that i'm feeling?

the specs on the cam are:
* Advertised duration: 270 intake/270 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 224 intake/224 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .519 in. intake/.519 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 110 degrees
* RPM range: 1,800 to 5,800

youl feel your cam loping while sitting in idle. ...this is why i want a little bit more agressive cam than the one i have now.. ive always wanted that mean lopey idle...my cam now only has a very slight lope at idle

You may be feeling a small surge from the cam especially if you have a man trans ,it as well may be the power valve opening and closing,the cam "lope" increases and decreases vac quickly and a PV that is to high may be opening and closing.

Ive got a comp cams .528 282 duration cam, it lopes hard at an idle, but at about 1500 RPMs its smooth sailing.
