My p/s pump is leaking from someplace inside. I don't know if I should buy a rebuild kit for it or just replace it. The difference between the two options is about $100. I've heard that trying to replace the seals properly doesn't always work well. Whatcha think?

I'm in the same boat, I plan on attempting to rebuild mine in the next couple weeks. Look forward to seeing some of the responses.

Rebuilding a Pump is very simple Mechanics---Pay attention in the Disassembly.

Line up parts removed, clean all parts, replace worn out pieces.

Assembly will of course be in reverse.

Randy has a excellent site to view. http://www.stangerssite.com/steering.html

That is a great site! I've already learned a couple things. I discovered the nut holding the reservoir was loose. I tightened it up. Hopefully I'll be lucky and that is the only issue. I'm definitely keeping that site for reference.
