After getting my car running last week one of the things I noticed were that the gauges wer slow. Fuel, Temp, Factory Tach. All seem a little slow or sticky to react I does make it to the right reading but helps if you tap on dash. If you let the car warm up to opperating temp it might read just off cold. Tap on the dash or drive around and it goes right were it should and works fine. Fuel same thing. Tach always seems behind the Rev and sticky/jumpy... not smooth.
Could this be a ground problem. Where does the Cluster get a ground from? I have my dash pad off to replace my speedo cable (hot exhaust) and would like to fix it. Any ideas??

I was going to say constant voltage regulator on the instrument cluster, but if you can tap the gauge and it comes up, I don't know.

With the pad off you should see this little earth clip.Give it a good clean up & it should help.
