I was detailing the Mustang this weekend and found small white hash marks on the chrome trim around the drivers door and the rear quarter window.

I tried buffing and polishing these, but they are still very present. I have seen some of these markings on other Mustangs and was wondering if anyone has a trick to get rid of them?

Thanks

Do these look like stretch marks, or stress cracks? If so, nothing can be done...the problem is in the underlying metal.

They look like stretch marks, yes.
They run lengthwise along the chrome rail between the two windows. Side by side, sort of.....?
