1966 Mustang Coupe Track Car
The car is a clean well built open track car. Originally built by the owner of Classic Motorsports for his personal use. The car is well sorted out and is a very neutral on the track. The car has been run at mostly Sears Point Raceway and Thunderhill for the last few years.
Paint: Wimbledon white with guardsman blue Shelby stripes. Fiberglass hood and front racing apron.
Interior: Head liner, carpet, door panels. With a full 10 point roll cage set up for open track. R-Model dash with full instrumentation and dash mounted tach. Quick release removable steering wheel. Kirkey race seats with Simpson 5 point race harness restraints. .
Suspension: Front: Total Control Products fully adjustable coil over with manual TCP rack and pinion steering, full custom sub frame connecters. Rear: Fays2 Watts link with double adjustable VariShocks
Engine. Brand new 351W based 418 stroked motor built for the track by Ford Performance Solutions. The motor has less than 50 miles on it. Engine has hydraulic roller cam with Avenger Race heads. Edelbrock Vic Jr. intake with Holley 750CFM road race carb. Deep sump Aviaid oil pan with oil cooler. Shock towers have been modified to provide easy access to Hooker Super Comp headers. All new 3" exhaust with “X” pipe exits out the side in front of rear wheels. Estimated 500Hp and 525 torque.
Transmission: Close ratio top loader recently rebuilt with Hurst Competion Plus shifter. Brand new Ceterforce clutch.
Rear end: Ford 9” with 3.73 positrac.
Wheels: American Racing 17X8 Torque Thrust Polished. With new road race tires.
Brakes: Baer 13" in front and 12" in rear with cooling ducts .
Gas Tank: 16 gallon FuelSafe fuel cell.
