Hehe!

At any rate...

This should be an open 9" diff. if I (and my dataplate) am/are correct. My question is, what would the cost/labor be for me to convert to trac-loc?

I haven't seen a set of Gabriel High-jacker Air shocks in a long time.
Do they still work?

Surprisingly enough, yes they did. However, after tonight, they do not. Just took off the rear valance with the valve and part of the lines. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

If my wife was an expert at identifying rear differential housings, She'd remark, "Typical male; screaming about his 9 inch whopper when it's only 8 when stretched by a 20 lb anvil"!

So, in other words, some dumb chuck swapped out a 9" open for an 8" open?? Or, my source of info on my "1" Axle code. (www.1967mustang.com) is the dumb chuck. Which make me merely misinformed. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Actually, If this is the rear diff housing in the A-code car of your signiture line, it's supposed to have a 8 inch; only the K cars or big blocks had 9 inchers.

That's an 8" rear. Looks just like the one in my car right now. Two dimples, oval shaped. The 9" has a big bulge that runs vertically down the back of the pumpkin.

After all of this, I ran out last night and stuck the camera under the cover and snapped a few pics from the front side of the diff. and compared it to the page mentioned above. Now I'm depressed. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif I guess we don't REALLY know what inches are, SWMBO was right.

Am I dislexic or are you number 351 on one side and 315 on the other?
