I recently converted my 67 to 15" Torque Thrust D's, however my spare is still a 14". Question is, can I use a later model Ford space saver spare? Is the bolt pattern the same? Is a junk yard the best place to find one? My car is a Fastback and I'd like to make more room in the trunk.

Thanks
Jack

Well yes and no. The late models use the same lug pattern. The problem comes with trak-loc differentials. The overall height of the tires should be the same otherwise the rear tires will spin at different speeds and consequently will toast your differential.

Hey Jack,
Bolt patterns are the same but the back spacing may not be. Your best bet is to find a friend with a late model 5 lug ford and try the tire on for fit. You will probably have a problem in the front with it hitting the upper ball joint...I did!
