I am looking to purchase sport slats and a spoiler, I've been looking in the mustang magazines and each brand claims it's the best. Has anyone recently purchased them that would be kind enough to recommend the brand to me. Thanx

I was told by someone that the rear spoilers on 69's where lighter than 70's. I guess 69's had a problem with sagging and they made them a little more robust in 70. I think that's why 70's have a prop rod in the trunk , because of the added weight of the more robust rear spoiler. So , with that said , I would try to make sure that the after market spoilers are indeed "beefy" , in order to avoid the sag. You might consider finding an original 70 if the repros are "flimsy". As far as the sport slats go I understand that they are a quality reproduction. I personally can't decide if I want to use the sport slats or not. But I will use the rear spoiler.
Just my 2 cents.

If you want the original look, I believe you need the type that attach to the roof just above the rear window. Some of the repro's attach to the window itself or under the molding. They are easier to come by but are obvious repro's.
