Was looking at the SSBC brake conversion kits.

Here is my question: If/When I have to replace the disc, what disc do I have to get. Do I have to go with SSBC or can I just go with disc that are the right size and bolt pattern from another company like Raybestos or something?

Thanks.

There are many options for discs. From what i've heard, SSBC comes with everything you need to bolt on the discs but is pricey compared to other kits. Here are other sources you might want look at:

http://www.hotrodheaven.com/ (Where some VMF'ers purchased discs during a group sale. He sells kits on [censored] also.)
http://www.mpbrakes.com/MP4.HTM
http://www.mustangshoppe.com/newparts.php
http://www.rcmotorsports.net/page13.html

And some good articles:

I'm sure people who have done the conversion will chime in soon, but I thought i'd give you the links i've collected when I was considering the upgrade.

Good Luck :D!

I think the other's missed the point ;)
replacement pads are easy to come by. They are an off the shelf part at almost any auto store.

The rear discs setup in the SSBC kit uses the same parts (i.e. rotors, calipers, pads) as ultrastang does in his Lincoln MKVII rear disc swap. SSBC will tell you that the calipers, etc. are from an '84 SVO, but they are the same as the Lincoln MKVII. See http://www.ultrastang.com.

That may help answer your question, wrt the rear. I don't know anything about the front setup for SSBC.
