I’m looking to get a rigid stainless steel fuel line to go from mechanical pump to edelbrock 1406 carb (600cfm)
one website claims to sell them but description says the carb inlet is on the drivers side. Both eddy carbs I own have an inlet on passenger side.
I don’t mind a small section of rubber hose in place which will also help with a break in vibration but needs to get me close
Thanks View attachment 839790
This might work...

I want to link a page from Summit like you did here to show a part. I do I do that???
I think, and I could be incorrect, that it also depends on the link you're using as well? I've tried a few links that are longer like from eBay or Amazon that don't want to work nicely like the previous one above and just show the blue link without any picture to it. Not sure why... 🤷‍♂️

SS is tough to bend.

I fought the fuel line for months. Aftermarket carb, PS and AC..

I am running a rubber line with heat wrap.

After 18 months, I am still alive.

I've bought several SD fuel lines. None of them were exactly the same as the one I removed, but I can't say that the one I removed was original.

IDK if Ford had several suppliers and each supplier was a tad different or not.

If you have not worked with SS, it is very difficult to bend and shape.

I was considering using one of the SD or other brands of pre-made fuel lines but I went a different route for a couple of reasons. First, I'm not a huge SD fan and have had very little luck with any of their products. Second, I don't have a 1965 style fuel pump with the filter in it, nor do I have a fuel filter before the pump, so I needed to put one in between the pump and the carburetor. Of which, I figured buying the pre-made line and cutting it to add a fuel filter was a bit counterintuitive. So I ended up buying some Earl's braided/nylon hose along with their fittings and a Holley fuel filter to make up my own fuel lines. No leaks, looks pretty nice and didn't cost too much.

I have an Edlebrock also. So these lines won't work with an 1406?
Use the Edelbrock inlet and filter kit #8131, a pump-to-carb line from Inline Tube for a '65 289-2V/4V and an adapter(s) to go from 5/16 inverted flare (1/2-20) female to -6AN female to connect the line to the inline filter. Some bending of the line for alignment and to effectively make it shorter will be required but it should look good when done and be safe.

Thanks Woodchuck! I have the Edelbrock #8131 and I'll look into the other items you suggest.

Original Poster here.
I picked up stainless hard line from summit. I have the fitting to take the 5/16” stainless to 6AN and have the eddy banjo fuel line and eddy inline filter. Looks like everything should fit nicely . I’ll post pics and part numbers for others looking to do the same when it’s installed.

I used the standard steel line offered by The Right Stuff Detailing for the D-code. Less than $50 delivered. Fit was very well. They offer stainless as well, which I considered, but decided original look as well as the galvanic issues mentioned by @Woodchuck that guy is good!

Yea but do you have a stock carb or an edelbrock?

That line feeds a factory 4100 Auto-lite. Perhaps could be adapted, or the carb end fitting and flare cut off and reflared for a piece of rubber and filter. I prefer a solid line from pump to carb. Vibration shouldn't be a huge factor as the pump, carb, line, and engine all vibrate as one. Even less separate movement when used with the factory fuel line bracket.

There have been a lot of replies so my original question has gotten lost in the shuffle
I asked if there was a stainless steel hard line from pump to an eddy 1406 carb. The eddy inlet is on the passenger side.
I believe I have the pieces necessary now and will post the links and pics this week once installed.
thanks.

Yes...please post pics of what you've done and what you used. I have the same situation to deal with. Thanks!!

It's hard to tell from the picture because most of it is blocked from the air cleaner being in the way, but if I'm not mistaken the 4100 Auto Lite carburetor had the inlet on the front passenger side of it. So, with the kit that Woodchuck mentioned above, I'm thinking you'd be fairly close, or you could even bend it some to make it work. These "what if" questions were what made me just do up the fuel lines on my own instead of worrying about buying a kit and then potentially hacking it up. That and I needed to add a fuel filter in between the pump and the carburetor. Good luck!
