After a rather spectacular burnout, yeah I'm old enough to know better, my 'stang won't idle properly /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
From a cold start the revs falter to around 250rpm and when I attempt to find the biting point to move into 1st she stalls out. Has just been tuned up and was running perfectly. Am using a 650cfm Edelbrock Performer 4v on a stock 302. Is it time for a Holley?

It could be the timing chain jumped a tooth, or it could be be that something has failed in the valve train. After a big burn out, the timing chain is what I might suspect first. You might try putting a timing light to it and see if the timing has changed. Maybe you'll get lucky and find the distributor is loose and changed your timing.

Good Luck,
