One additional note -- Mustang News ran from October 1977 (as mentioned) until February 1980, when it was purchased by Larry Dobbs and absorbed into Mustang Monthly, who for a while offered back issues of both magazines. Stranger still were the ads for Mustang Monthly that ran in the early issues of Hot Rod competitor "Mustang" (long before it became "& Fast Fords...") -- apparently the marketplace wasn't quite as cutthroat as it is today, when the two magazines barely acknowledge one another despite being owned by the same conglomerate...
