The steering wheel seal to the floor board of my 67 convertible is shot. What are the steps to get the steering wheel out? Do I need to pull the steering wheel and remove the turn signal or can I take the whole unit out from the steering box in one piece. Any help greatly appreciated!

You must mean the steering column seal. To replace it the column shaft needs to be removed from the steering gearbox and slide out aft to clear the floorboard.
