Teebone, what kind of 302 covers? BTW I got a nice picture of a "Thunderbird" that I'll post for you as soon as I get a chance to scan and photopoint it.

My first suggestion would be Uncle Henry (your friendly Ford dealer), if you want new stuff. However, if you have some used ones, a trip to the machine shop's hot tank does wonders. I did the ones on my Chevelle's 283, wiped them down with Braakleen and hit them with hi-temp Chevy orange. They looked factory fresh and stayed that way for many miles.

Believe it or not, I've never seen the original valve covers offered in catalogs...chromed versions, yes, but not unfinished or blue. I found mine at a swap meet, cleaned them up, and painted them. Try a junk yard??

I agree with Midlife junkyard may be best place to go and/or ebay. I got a pair off there for 10 bucks and these are the ones that say "powered by ford". I did have a backup set I had seen at junk yard. If you can't find a set let me know, next time I am at the junkyard I could check and see if they are still there.

I may have a set available here in the very near future. Stock 302 valve covers that say "Powered by Ford" across the top. Just need to do a little more cleaning and then make sure the paint is all good on em. I'll let you know if SWMBO will let me sell em.

1969 Coupe ... work in progress
I have never seen them either. I have seen many pairs go off of e-bay for various prices. They should say "powered by Ford" as the previous poster mentioned.

I wonder if Jason Mountz has any. I just saw his web site the other day. He has a lot of parts down there (he's near Midlife I think).

You just want the plain looking, no writing, stock 289/302 valve covers? I think I have a set sitting out back... let me know if you don't find a set, and I'll go look. I'd sell em' pretty cheap.
