Putting this here cause I don't think this is for racing, but I could be wrong.
This was posted on a review for an aluminum dash I was looking at.
I can't figure out what is going on here.

No way to know the intentions of that car, race or hot rod/show car. AFA the roll cage, the "V" in the middle of the windshield is popular in offroad trucks, supporting the middle of the halo bar, and providing some triangulation of the "A" pillar hoop. The tubes forming a center console and holding the shifter, they are just that, there is no significant structural benefit to those installed as shown.

Putting this here cause I don't think this is for racing, but I could be wrong.

I think its mainly someone showing off skills/creativity. I have seen similar braces under the windshield, not for a long time though, in off-roaders/racers that are going to use a plexi or lexan. A big enough impact and there could be a huge section of plastic that wants to invade the driver space.
