change them on a 67 .It looks pretty straight forward,but i just know there must be a few tricks.

No real trick here.

Make sure you remove the larger nuts from the forward end of the strut arm FIRST before you detach the other end which bolts to the lower control arm. Replace the bushings and washers and retach in the opposite manner, i.e. attach at the LCA first and then onto the frame mount.

For this one you remove and install unloaded. Also, torque to spec unloaded as well. But I always recheck torque after I've dropped it to the ground and then again after a few hundred miles.
