I am in the process of putting all of the accessories back on my 289. Guess which picture I do not have??? Thats right. The motor mounts. ::

Does the long end go toward the front or the back?? :: They are not marked right or left that I could see.

Doofus number 2. I did a great job of painting the engine. :: Only problem is that I filled in the timing marks on the dampener. :: Now I may have to sand it off to find them!! It will certainly make the engine harder to time if I don't.

I thought they were the same, the mounting holes in the block should be a little offset, but the brackets should be the same for each side. When I got mine they both had the same part number. unless.....they are different for the early cars, I just realized the only V8 mounts I have put in were on 67's, and Fox-body cars, cuz my 65 has a 200ci.

D OH!!!! You are right! Odd that the original mounts have have different numbers stamped in them...

Plus that really cool online catalog shows 2 numbers.

But when you put them side by side they look exactly the came.
