Hi Guys,

Ok - I'm in the final decision phase for giving the stang a new footing.

I think I've decided on 16x8 Edelbrock 454's and 235/50R16 tires. I can get the wheels and tires mounted, balanced, and shipped to my door for $1400. Does that sound like a decent price? The tires are Dunlop SP Sport 5000.

My other question is, what should I do about the suspension. At this point I'm figuring I should probably rebuild the front with new upper and lower control arms, springs, shocks and the back leafs and shocks. Any advise on this? Who has the best prices for suspension related components like this?

Thanks in advance!
Andy

Yes, that does sound like a good price. With regards to the suspension, there are several options:

1. Send your components into Moog and have them rebuild/re condition them
2. Purchase Moog components on an exchage program
3. Purchase Moog components outright

(Moog will powder coat, straighten and use any bushing type you want. Their work is very, very nice)

4. Purchase a suspension rebuild kit from Performance Suspension Technologies (they have a web site). Components are very good and the prices are excellent. IIRR, a complete front end rebuild for a stang is around $180. Add another $119 and you can get 4 KYB shocks

My personal choice:

Global West upper and lower arms;
TCP adjustable strut rod;
CobraAuto Bushed Spring perch;
Edelbrock IAS shocks (front & rear)
EiBach Progressive rate springs (for the street in middle one of three);
1" front sway bar
4 1/2 leaf mid-eye springs;
GW Delum rear spring bushings
Smallest rear sway bar available

Complete kits are only compromises. Just my $0.02 Bob.
