[color:blue]Quick Reference for Acronyms Thrown Around on VMF</font color=blue>

SWMBO - She Who Must Be Obeyed - usually a reference to the wife or significant other. A Midlife creation (innovation?).

HWMOM - He Who Must Obey Me - Usually a ref to husband or sig other of Mustang owning woman - term coined by Sally67

LOL - Laughing Out Loud or Lots of Laughs

*G* - Grin

IIRC - If I Recall Correctly

IMHO - In My Humble Opinion

N/M - No Message, stuffed in the Subject line when no message is written. Similar to N/T, NM, EOL (No Text, No Message, End Of Line)

OF - Old Fart

PO - No, not that. Previous Owner. Well, I guess it could be that depending on context.

TFOB - You'll have to ask him, I don't want to steal his thunder

FUBAR - Fouled Up Beyond All Repair (hey, it's a family site)

SNAFU - Situation Normal A Fouled Up

TOFU - A white bean curd thing - supposed to be food

Doofus Award - Award given for doing something completely senseless, absent mindlessness, or doing something dangerous when you should know better. May involve minor injury and award appropriateness is voted by the members of VMF.

A, C, D, F, G, Q, S, T, U, or X, Code - Letter designation in the fifth character from the left of the VIN designating original engine installed.

GATTICA - Probably misspelled it and has something to do with the human gene sequence. Hey, I had to throw in something to show I have a life!

Feel free to throw in more so this can be a quick reference we can link for those who ask.

Thanks Dean. I was trying to figure these out being fairly new to the VMF. Now I can understand what everyone is saying.

I was racking my brain trying to figure out what SWMBO meant, thanks.

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

I think the definitions should be published in the FAQ.

I agree. I also had to ask about SWMBO on the old forum!

NPD - National Parts Depot
MU - Mustangs Unlimited
TCP - Total Control Products
GW] - Global West
KYB - May be an acronym but never heard what KYB stood for (brand of gas charged shock absorbers).
