I have a 66 GT Coupe basket case which originally had a 3 speed manual transmission. The car came with a T-10 4 speed (in the trunk), does any one know if the T-10 will bolt into the place of the original 3 speed or will there be significant modifications involved. Thanks for the help.

Nope, just bolt it in. You will have to use a 4-speed shifter.
You will have to check the bolt pattern on the front of
both transmissions to make sure the T-10 will bolt to
the bellhousing. There are two bolt patterns, a wide and
a narrow. And make sure they are both the same length.

Opentracker is exactly right. Also measure from the front face to the shifter mounts as the mustang mounts and the big car mounts are in different locations fore and aft.
