Thanks guys,

Why is it the best? Who makes it, and where do you buy it?
Thanks,
Jim

I'm using a Steeda shifter. I'm very happy with it. Adjstment stops to limit shift fork travel, and only someone who's pretty lame could'nt find 3rd with it.

Have a Saleen shifter in my 98 Cobra. Best $200 I have ever invested in a car.

Try the 5.0 mustang mag. They have lots of adds. It's a well designed shifter. I have had mine apart and its strong. The machining is first class and they are one of the first manufactures so its been around a while. I have heard good things about the steeda shifter. i'm sure some on makes Saleens for them.

There are tons of shifter manufactures out there. Its up to you and how much you want to spend. I have a Mac shifter in my car and I like it, a freind has the Hurst Billit Plus and I think that ones better than mine but mine was on sale at the time and the Hurst wasn't.

I've also got a Steeda shifter. We had to do a little grinding on the front of the access hole in the tunnel to make it fit. Are you using the stock boot?
