This was a response I sent to an e-mail received this morning...anyone receive a similar e-mail or different one??

------------------------------
Please confirm absolute ship date and method....

This order was to be shipped Express, not Parcel Post as noted below as it is needed in time for an important car show...

Respond ASAP

Regards,

Patrick Mack

Yes, I did. I just got off the phone with them, and they told me that they are shipping ALL orders via US mail. doubtful us onthe west coast will receive them in time to use for Knotts. Bob, what up? Important thing here is that we will not be billed for the express charges. You should receive a receipt indicating the charges.

Anyhow, Bob did his best and these things happen in the real world. If I don't get the VMF shirt in time, there's always my Marvin Martian Manic Mechanic shirt.

You're kidding, right? *G*

Steve called them about it...see his post above yours..

Can you say "charge back"?

GRRRRR!

It's not like the PO doesn't have Priority and Express Mail...

Even on a package the size of mine, EM would only be around 25.00, PM would be 7.55 and Parcel Post would be 7.09....

Guess they're making a tidy profit on shipping....

<Note to Bob...thumbs up on VMF, thumbs down on fullfilment house>

Thanks Steve...

Did they give you a cofirmed ship date? I noted the e-mails were dated 4/17 but I didn't receive mine until this morning and the mail was tagged with a 4/19 date...

I received an email today saying my shipped UPS 2nd day air on the 17th. But they left off the tracking #. When I called customer service (oxymoron), they said "Oh, it didn't REALLY ship 4-17-01, it just started the shipping PROCESS". I pointed out that the email said "Shipped on 4-17-01". "Don't you think I might think you really shipped it on 4-17, since that is what your email said???". Pause "Well, uh, gee, uh yah, I guess".
Who knows????

They finally sent mine via UPS. They sent me an e-mail asking for the shipping address that matches the billing address. I sent it and they replied back that my order had been canceled. I called and they fixed it. Seems like a poor choice in fullfilment centers for future things.

I got it too. Said that items "began" shipping 4/17/01. We'll see if they make it in time huh?

We'll find each other OK at DJ's....just listen for the pounding hooves and the "I'm with the VMF" to the maitre'd....*G*

As I told GolfBoy, I think I'll bring my Aloha shirt I got at Hilo Hatties....I think that would stand out in a sea of Ford T-shirts, don't you?? *G*

If we can get a consensus on ID'ing each other, we should post a thread on it letting everyone know....the folks from back East will be leaving early Sat or tonight...
