Does anyone know if the old style temp gauge for 65-66 cars is available in the aftermarket or NOS?I don't want to install a newer type, even though it would be much more accurate, because I like the look of the old style.
NPD's new catalog shows repo gauge assemblies, but they are NOT cheap. You can probably buy one cheaper out of a donor car.
BTW, what is wrong with yours? They generally don't go bad, it's usually the sending unit, wiring or constant voltage supply to the instruments.
I was thinking mine is bad because after installing a brand new 3 row radiator and shroud the gage still reads 3/4 hot when I am quite sure it should read lower. Am I expecting too much from one of these old type devices?
