Got the trans mount tacked up and the car on the ground with the weight of the drivetrain on the chassis for the first time in a while. In the next couple days I will measure the drivetrain angle at ride height. I also have a 15/16 MC from a 95 cobra showing up tomorrow to try out. The reservoir is tilted and will hopefully help out the fact the MC needs to be raised. Thanks to @arcane73 for showing me @j persons post on this mount. It’s a nice piece. What do you guys think of me running without a tunnel support? I’m debating it because of space. I also am not sure it would do very much without the crossmember installed. Seems like it would need that triangulation to be strong enough to make a difference.
That turned out to be a beefy piece. I'm glad it worked out for you. I really can't say much on the tunnel support that would help. I would -think- that it's less important since you now have a more robust piece in place acting as both a trans crossmember and keeping the front rails tied together.

Metal work sucks without a bench vise! I know some people don’t have a garage, and I am a whiner but my limited space is making this more difficult than it should be.
I always say the same thing! Even with a half-lift, I still gripe about having so little room to work!
Looking good!

Easy answer is you are. I hope to fire it in December but that's a lofty goal. Every time I stare at it I remember or see something else that needs done. The never ending list is only getting longer. Even the metal work(which I usually like) seems daunting. Even debated getting the prefabbed tunnel you have to save time, but I don't think its tall enough. Then on to the parking brake. As high as the drivetrain is I'm not sure there is room. On the plus side, most of the expensive things are bought. Only big ticket item I have left is AC components. Then there will be bugs to work out, tuning, carpet. Long way to go!
We're in the same boat. Expensive parts are all sitting on shelves and constantly thinking of 'one more thing'. You are welcome to take a look at the tunnel height i have now that it's 'installed' (as long as you can look past the welding). I'll shoot you a link of another tunnel idea that I had considered. May be easier. I seriously hope to get started on squirting primer and lizard skin soon....then it's on to wiring....plumbing...cooling....etc, etc. I will be happy to drive this pile around without interior!

Keep at it!

You're pulling out the cowl and I'm spraying lizardskin in uncomfortable places......we're making progress during the hottest days of the year so far. You've got this! And my offer still stands of standing nearby while holding a cold beverage and being all judgy about your progress! :ROFLMAO:

To prove that I don’t just tell you guys to do stupid things I also do them myself, I no longer have any wiring or switches on or behind my dash. I should probably figure out if I’m going to black out my interior so I don’t need to do it agwin with the car assembled.
Just going to let you know that I have the AAW crimpers if you decide to completely rewire your car. You're welcome to borrow them -after- I get through cussing through rewiring my car! :sneaky:

Thanks. I’m a native, but the older I get the more difficult it is.
Trust me, I've got a few years on you and it doesn't get better. I will say that I don't miss living with 90% humidity. At least here, I can stay the hell out of the sun and it's somewhat tolerable.

Yesterday I modified the ford racing engine stand to mount to the engine with the bellhousing, starter and motor mounts installed. I also started working on putting fittings together to have oil pressure, oil temp and water temp sender on the engine.
AND...you pushed your car outside IN THE RAIN!!!! You don't care about it anymore!!! /Drama :ROFLMAO:

I was looking at things i still have left to do today when i was under the dash again sorting out wiring. I'm seriously considering calling classic tube and having them send me pre-bent stainless lines. This makes me consider it even more..
