Starting a build thread for the first time to document progress and get advise from the many on here who have dealt with the issues posed by this swap. My car has the second generation MII Heidts front end in it with an SBF and a t5 right now. Fueling is from tanks inc injection tank and Pimpxs. I mini tubbed it and installed an SoT 3 link, 9" with 3.89's and truetrac last year. Here in the planned parts list as of now.

Gen 3 mustang coyote(new or used not sure yet)

Vintage air front runner(not sure if I will be running a driven PS pump or Volvo electric)

T56 wide ratio with QT bell, 1330 yoke, clutch fork (will be here next week)

Running a cable for the clutch right now since I already have it. May go to hydraulic if the pedal is too stiff.

Ford control pack

Flywheel

Clutch

Pilot

Trans tunnel

Driveshaft will be Sot

Will run Manual brake's for now. Probably wilwood MC

Headers are TBD

Oil cooler nonsense is TBD

Radiator and fan are TBD

Seems daunting. Here is the car as it sits:

Since the shock towers are gone anyway, enjoy your 8000 rpm! What the hell is going on with your shifter? I'm not sure if I hate it or want it?

If the shifter has to go away PM me. If it actually works.
That MalWood USA clutch pedal is pretty trick! I put a SBC in a 1981 4x4 Yoda truck in 1990. Engine in and out of that truck 50 times trying to make it work. Thats why I'll stick with the old SBF on my Mustang. It only come's out once a year.

Are you a doctor or a lawyer, or both?;) In reality we are sol on getting anything done right anymore because Gen-Z just wants lay in a field of cover with there lover and not work a day in their life. Your run of bad luck has nothing to do with you. Just ordered a new ARE "grampy camper" cap $3700 for the new F150 and it is 3 months+ out. I have done business with the place it bought it from for 38 years and it looked like a bomb went off after the old man died and the son was too lazy to clean up the mess. Sad, I always felt like the old man treated me fairly but it seems the son doesn't give $hit.

I'm exhausted just looking at the pictures! I admire your commitment to the project. Curious on the wiper motor and arms?
To prove that I don’t just tell you guys to do stupid things I also do them myself, I no longer have any wiring or switches on or behind my dash. I should probably figure out if I’m going to black out my interior so I don’t need to do it again with the car assembled. View attachment 848890
Something about hitting 60 I guess, I get exhausted just looking at the pictures. I fully realize the innumerable hours going into this project! Nice work!

Got some mounting points taken care of today for the fpr and clutch master reservoir. Welded up the brake master cylinder area on the firewall. Also cut and rolled the tunnel area on the firewall so it’s where it needs to be. Slowly…. View attachment 849509

The Cobra 15/16" Master Cylinder. Looks good that you have already compensated for the bowl angle! I'm using the 88 Ranger MS with I think the same bore. Anyway it works awesome!

It’s doesn’t have the machined area to capture the rod but my rod can’t fall out.
I can't get life insurance anymore so I went with the 88 Ranger manual brake MS and made the rod adjustable.;) Chances are probably one in a billion that the not captured PB rod would ever fall out.

I’m trying to figure out how crazy I should go cleaning the bottom of the upper cowl. It’s got surface rust on it. I started but I’m already bored of it. What do you guys think?
It looks good to me unless you plan on driving on the beach at Daytona? Mine doesn't leak so I ignore it.

Rust needs oxygen to spread. Encapsulation is the answer. A lot of forum members have kittens if every surface isn't blasted and treated with 5 different things and coated with 4 different epoxy coatings. At 60 , I looked at the bottom of my cowl and decided the grim reaper was going to get me long before rust got the cowl!;)

Make sure to slather that cowl reinforcement with 2 or 3 tubes of seam sealer to make it authentic Shelby!

I want to be driving it around with it fully assembled by February. We shall see. Burn out could be a factor.
I understand burnout! Best to have a clear head when lighting the candle the first time!

Oh, and for you coyote guys I installed an oil separator because I heard it was necessary on any coyote. Went with my favorite brand. View attachment 874597
You think that will make my 5.0 2021 F150 use less than 2 quarts of oil in 4000 miles? I do very very often shift at the 6700 rpm red line!:D

I have heard that is it purpose. I have no real world experience though.
I'll have to check with my newly purchased 10 year 100,000 mile warranty to see it that mod is OK? I guess thats why the oil pan went from 6 to 8 quarts between 2020 and 2021.
I would think if it were "necessary" Ford woulda put one on there for you when they built it? Looks cool tho'
Ford engineer's meeting with the bean counters.. I don't know, that adds up to $6 per vehicle to eliminate excessive oil consumption between oil changes. Lets talk about annual navigation subscriptions that nobody over 10 years old can figure out how how to program instead!
