I'll have to check with my newly purchased 10 year 100,000 mile warranty to see it that mod is OK? I guess thats why the oil pan went from 6 to 8 quarts between 2020 and 2021.
The 2017 Mustang GT I bought at auction as a donor for the drivetrain had a 8 qt. oil pan already.

Thought I'd chime in on the oil/air separator discussion. The oil air separator for the Coyote is intended to interrupt the vapor path that starts at the passenger side valve/cam cover and ends at the intake manifold behind the throttle body. this side is under engine vacuum. Fresh filtered air (make-up air) is brought in just behind the air filter. At high RPM the amount of oil vapor increases. The oil air separator prevents most of the oil in this vapor from re-entering the engine and introducing oil in the intake manifold and backside of intake valves. If your engine is consuming oil the oil air separator will not decrease this. The Ford Performance separator only holds about a cup of oil max. After 5,000 mile on my new Coyote and spirited driving, the separator had about two table spoons of fluid in it.

Next time you find your by yourself trying to bleed brakes, get yourself a mightyvac and as far as header coatings go mine still hit between 300-450 degrees with ceramic coating after running it hard. That mega fuse cover will be the first victim.

I would imagine mine are hotter than that but I don’t have a thermometer. I may get them coated.

I have thought about the mighty vac many times, but the reviews seem mixed.

It’s a power distribution block. I’m sure it will die, but should hold up better than a mega fuse.

If you use header wrap it will drop the temp significantly, coating IMO was a waste of money, albeit looks nice. I have the headers on my Cobra Replica also ceramic coated as they are right in front of my feet separated by the fiberglass firewall and its still hot. I purchased the header wrap but it's on the back burner. I have the mightyvac and have no bad words.

Got my AC condenser installed and my front end on except the hood. Working on a way to keep heat off of the wiring harness and brake lines. It’s pretty tight. Ordered some sleeving and hopefully it works so I don’t have to wrap my headers. I also heard getting them ceramic coated would help? Anybody know if that’s true? View attachment 874537

Some minor progress.

I put my parking brake lever in with no cable(still need to shorten the explorer lines and measure) View attachment 875620
Cleaned some hardware a new way for me.

Bled my brakes alone because I heated my fluid enough for it to apply my brakes automatically while I let it idle for 30 minutes.

Threw my hood on. Much adjustment is still needed.

Heat shield on wiring and brake lines. We will see if things need moved or header wrap/coatings.

Windshield is in. Followed the 10 year old mtf videos that look like they’re 20 years old. Used the same 2 products. No fun but not too bad. 1.5 hrs including going to buy a replacement caulk gun.

So I see you used Modern Performance Tuning in Glendale AZ. How was your experience with them? I am in Prescott and I will need to have my Coyote tuned in 2024. Looking for recommendations as there is nothing up here. Also, if you don't mind sharing what the cost was? I believe you have to buy a tuner as well as pay for their labor.

Dyno day was today. All dyno’s are different so take it for what it’s worth. 426whp 359tq.
I find 426whp respectable considering Ford rates the Gen3 at 460. I’m sure with the swap you are tad more than 460 at the flywheel to garnish 426 at the wheels. I too am interested if you purchased an OBD interface/tuner and brand/Dyno cost. Also, what rpm were your numbers from? I’ve spoken to LUND racing but haven’t committed just yet.
Car looks great as well as stance👍 (maybe they have it cranked down in the rear but I like it…. 😄)

Thanks Angry

Wow! You found a Ford friendly place with a dyno! That would never happen around here. The car looks and sounds awesome!

I don’t think it’s going to pass sound at the autcross track though. They have a 96db limit.
