I was just looking at my two posts- "Some more Stangs" and "Mustangs I've Wrecked" and it seems that my 65 2+2, 5F09T-782040, build date 07U, and my 65 Convertable, 5F08C-783817, build date 09U, that in two production days at the Dearborn,Mich. plant, they were able to put out over 1777 Mustangs,Fairlanes, and Falcons. Thats alot of cars. So does anyone out there have any other vin #s that are relatively close to any of these cars, or own cars that are closer numbered.

Now you know how the UAW came into being. These cars were being built in that volume before robotics took over the repetitive work. Imagine having to tighten lug nuts at that rate! Or install dashboards.
