Please confirm absolute ship date and method....

This order was to be shipped Express, not Parcel Post
as noted below as it is needed in time for an
important car show...

Respond ASAP

OK, I'm too lazy to read all previous posts and replies on this T-shirt thing, so here's my totally ignorant and uncalled for opinion:

Bob developed the shirts for free, kind of as a cool service to us. Because he doesn't have time to deal with payment and delivery of ~200 shirts (I imagine this was a nightmare for mlnielsen on the last batch of VMF shirts), he enlisted this on-line fulfillment house. Sure, there's a glitch here and there, but I think we need to keep in mind that The shirt price is very reasonable, nobody's making a profit here, and everything is coming together pretty quickly. I, for one, am greatful that good people are taking the time to make this happen.

OK, I'll try not to trip on my way off this soapbox.

Pat,

Oh well. I am just glad that I could purchase a shirt! In talking to the fullfillment house the other day, they stated that my shiping charges were somewhere on the order of $4.00. I think you will see lower charges on your bill.

Let me help you....*G*

(I posted the message below in my reply to the fulfillment house)

I paid 23.00 for Express Shipping (this was an extra cost option) on a total of 8 T-shirts (probably more than anyone else ordered)...

If the poor businesspeople that Bob hired can't understand what they meant by express, they deserve my wrath and that of others out here on the West Coast who wanted the shirts for Knott's...

I didn't set the rules, they did...I paid through the nose (a lot more than I charge for similar weight to similar address by FedEx or Airborne) and I expect service...

My beef isn't with Bob....it's with the fulfillment house...and I encourage anyone else who got taken for a ride on Express shipping to do the same...

They had my complete business po box and street addresses and chose to send the items by the slowest method possible....

FWIW, I contribute quite a bit of my time here for free as well and help folks out with stuff that costs my customers 60.00/hr...I don't expect anything in return because it's my way of giving to the hobby...
But, if someone here were to buy something from me or have me do a job for them, they'd get treated the same way my customers do, with exemplary customer service....or they'd have every right to chew my head off...

That's the way I do business and I expect the same from others...

Ok, there's my soapbox for the morning...now back to keeping my head from getting chewed off! *G*

Thanks for the reply Steve....I'll check my CC account later this morning to see what charges they posted

I authorized 113.00 including the 23.00 express charge so they have the legal right to charge my card for that much...

I do a lot of business by CC both here and overseas and have to stay on top of everything....you'd be surprised at the vendors out there that mistakenly (!) double-bill and add unauthorized charges...

Sometimes I over-react but it's just business....all done when the beers get opened and the jokes start...no bald jokes oK? *G*

I think you have all the right in the world to complain about lousy service. Its happening all to often. If you pay a premium price for something you should get the service. Most of us here know your the last person to be pissed off at the forum or Bob. My .02 cents.

After learning of the shipping delays for the new VMF T-shirts. I'll probably be wearing last years VMF T-shirt to Knotts if I'm able to make it (I won't know untill Saturday afternoon). Looking foward to meeting everyone if I make it.
