Starting the build thread for the mustang two 5 lugger ghia. Called the shufelt mustang after the original builder. I don't know when I'll get to it. My son sure wants me to. He keeps asking about it.
Good luck! Hope it goes smooth and you drive it before long.
I took a friend's M2 Cobra for a ride when it was about a year old (winter of 77 ? 76 ? Can't remember).
I remember it being very quick and losing control in a light curve, hitting a snow bank, but came close to hitting some steel bollards in front of a business. No damage thankfully.
Years later I pulled a center section out of a cobra in a wrecking yard. Turns out it was a 3.55 to 1 if I recall correct.
Then the lights came on. Ratio along with the small diameter tires is what gave the car its quickness.
Safe travels !
Very cool...pun intended! I had a '74 Mustang II back in the day and really liked it! It was a manual shift with 4cyl and fun to drive. Looking forward to seeing the snow melted off of this one to see what you are working with.
