Well, after friday's post regarding cleaning and polishing the Mustang for spring. I got an itch and TOTALLY detailed the stang today.

I washed and dried the exterior, cleaned the entire undercarriage, engine compartment, trunk and interior.

Then I applied Meguire's 3 part liquid treatment.
1. wet cleanser paint cleaner.
2. wet polish and buff.
3. wet carnuba wax application and remove (TWICE)

I just bought this Mustang in Feb. and think it was not washed in 15 years. With each of the first three applications of Mguire's the car changed color. Got progressively lighter and brighter.

It looks soooo good.

Man am I sore and tired.

Enjoy the spring, I'm so glad it's here.

Yep, I feel it, but it was worth every ache.

By the way, thenks too all those that suggested the Mguire's it was very nice stuff.

Next time I can use the spray wax.

Looking forward to that.

Cool! I'll be doing this soon. My girlfriend just bought me an orbital polisher :)
What did you use to clean the engine with?

Even with the aches, that sounds like fun. I used to love to spend a weekend morning detailing my first fastback, and then go drive it all afternoon. I pretty much wore through a cheap paint job doing that - Thank you "Rally" detergent wax.....
I've heard really good things about Mequire's products - glad you had good results. Dickson
