After doing an engine swap in one of my cars and having noticeably louder exhaust added to it, everyone now seems to want to race me. Anyone from a VW Bug to the guys in their Subaru WRX's, even kids in their parents minivan or station wagon. I typically always have someone approach me at a gas station and talk about my cars, or they talk about their car/project, or they just stare at it, etc. I've had people try to follow me home just to talk about my car, which was definitely a bit odd and I stopped a block or two away seeing that they were following me. I've had people tailgate me trying to keep up, or race, and one kid tailgated me for a couple of miles and then yelled out the window at me when I turned "that's a bada$$ mustang". Some people b!tch about how loud the car is, while others say it sounds amazing. I had one good looking early 20's year old woman ask me if my car was a Camaro.
Although, I think the question that I get most is "what year is it, a xx right?" Of which they usually say something like a 1962 or a 1969, when I've got a 1965 as well as a 1968, so not even close to being either of the two suggested years, and I usually mention that the mustang wasn't even produced until 1965. One guy pulled up alongside me at a light, revved up his motor, of which I forgot what kind of car he was in but I knew he wanted to race. There wasn't anyone behind us, so I turned off my car and took my hands off the wheel to not allow him to think that I was going to actually try as it was a car I'd have no issue winning against. Other times that will happen and if I'm in the right lane, I'll just make a right turn instead of going forward, etc.
