I'm doing some intake work. I'm thinking about just replacing the thermostat since I'll be taking the housing off. Should I go 180 degrees? What type of thermostat?

I'd just head down to your local auto parts store and pick up a 180 thermostat, doesn't really matter what brand.

I personally like the Milodon brand. Feel they're a little more accurate at their opening temp.

No matter which one you get do a stove top boil test and measure the water temp when you see the stat open up. They have been known to be bad right out of the box and hate to see you spend all that time installing a potentially bad apple.

Yeah, I was planning on doing the stovetop test. :) Looks like I'll be picking up a 180 theromstat. Wow, this simple install has turned out to be much more... lol
