i was bidding on an item on . I had the highest bid with a good bit of pad left in what i was willing to pay for the part. At the last second the auction was canceled with the message that the item was already sold. Amazing that they sold it the exact second the auction was ending.

It is a fact of life on . What was the item if I might ask?

Very suspicious though. Was there a reserve? He might not have wanted to lose the item to a low price otherwise.

oh, I didnt even think of that, I thought it was too obvious to even mention that someone had used the BIN option....

I thought the buy it now option was only active if there were no bids. Once a bid is placed, that option goes away...right?

No, you can have BIN even with bids. The only time BIN goes away is on a reserve auction when the reserve price has been met...

i was bidding on a set of fuel rails with an adjustable regulator.
