This is the day every Mustang owner looks forward too...I got the Mustang leagal and ready for the road today....Insurance and tags.....
Been waiting 4 years. Been through 4 motors 3 transmissions, and a whole lot of cash. The 460 swap was worth it all.....Just wish I could have afforded to go to a top loader instead of the stinking C6 automatic transmission......
Estimated horsepower is about 475 hp. and about 500 ft. lbs. of torque.....A little to much for the t-5.....
Just had to share it with everyone.....

Wow STeve.
Congrats it has been a long road for you. All the trouble you had with this 460 and all. I am glad it is working out.
The FBD is doing well. I have about 2000 miles on it now after the trip to CF2.
It is fun with those extra CI in there. You are right about the Cash!!!!!! I never thought it would cost this much. You get started and one thing leads to another.

Congratulations, that 460 must feel really nice! LOL that's waaay too much torque for a T-5!!!! What's wrong with the C-6? My buddy and I just acquired a 460 and C-6 from a 69 Lincoln and we're thinking about plopping it into a Mustang. I'd like to know more about your opinion of the C-6.

Cobrapatrol: To answer your question about the C6, there is nothing wrong with the C6now that it works. But, I have had it in and out 3 times....First time, it wouldn't come out of the car....I installed it the first time with the engine. Had to take it back out because of no forward gears. It wouldn't clear the firewall enough to get the torque convertor. Finally took a big chiesel and a BFH and cut top right bolt lump off the bellhousing, just to get it out.....After that, I beat the hell out of the floor pan on passenger side for clearance. Now it will come out with no problem....
If you put the 460 and C6 in a Mustang, make sure you have clearance to remove transmission, just in case.
Also, this is the first Mustang that I have ever had withan automatic....23 Mustangs and all were 4 speeds....miss that clutch...
