Quick question...

Does anybody know if there is a diameter difference between the powersteering tierod and manual? The reason why I'm asking is that I'm placing a baer bumpsteer kit on the fastback and the driver's side won't go on. It appears that the inner tie rod is bigger in diameter than what the Baer one I have is designed for.

I have a '66 coupe w/ manual steering and a '66 fastback w/ power, and the tie rods on the PS car are definitely different. The driver's side one on the PS car is much heavier. I understand the bump steer kits don't fit PS cars, and I guess you just found out why.

6 cyl manual vs 6 cyl ps are different sizes.

V8 manual and power I thought are the same diameter,
the tie rod is bent on the LH to clear the control valve,
maybe the thread is different RH vs LH thread?

Clearly different diameters for v8's. I just picked up a Moog MS LH inner and it screwed right in. That part it done. On to the clutch issue.
So you had a 6cyl one in there or a power steering one?
