I would still "Road Time" the car. So many things come into
play with timing. I don't own a timing light! Never did.
My brother had one he used on his chevy, I think he still has it.
The damper could be off, I don't trust any of the old ford
dampers.

Clock wise is adv. Take the car out and drive up a hill in drive, or
3 or 4 gear with a stick. You would want it to just not ping. Turn it
till it pings and set it back a little. Take a 1/2" wrench with you and
take your time. Some times I leave the wrench in the car and do it
over a few days of driving just to have some fun with the car, and
get used to the feel of the car. The type of fuel you use will make
a difference.
