I've been playing "pass the buck".....
Tirerack.com passed me to BF Goodrich, who in turn referred me to a local Goodrich dealer.
I learned that the dealer will "adjust out" (prorate) the wear on the tires over the last 500 miles / 9 months, and then replace the tires for me at that discount. I guess they settle up with Goodrich afterwards.
No big deal, I hope it will cost me under $100 (versus 4x that for a new set of Goodyears). But it will take the good part of an afternoon to get the tires inspected/swapped, and then on to another dealer to have them balance the styled steel wheels on their lug-centric balancer......Oh well !!!
I'm starting to need a shot of Yukon Jack ! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Dickson
