Does anyone know the maximum tire size that fits in a 70 mach 1 front end. I have 255/60R15 mounted on all four. I have been driving this car like this for a year and finally the front driver side rubbed. i need to know whatsize is the closest to the rear that I can mount where I will not rub. Thanks

I think some depends on the tire. I have T/A's on my '69, 225/60's, and they fit just fine, but you can go bigger. You could definately go 235/60's which would give you an extra inch of clearance (smaller diameter) and probably even a 245/60 if you only need a 1/2" smaller to clear.

The only reason I went with the 225/60's is because I put 275/50's in back because I felt that was the widest tire I could get on my 15x8 wheels and not rub. Any 60 series tire bigger than a 225 would be taller than my back tires, so I had to sacrafice a little with the 225's.
