I know this topic has probably been discussed ad infinitum, but can anybody tell me if a 68 Mustang can take 2456015 on the back, and 2256015 on the front? I would like to run the torque D's with a 3.75" backspacing, which is the only size I can get from AR. thanks alot everybody. PS: car has stock suspension and ride height.

I am running 15x7 torque thrust D's from American Racing, with P235/60/15 rear and P225/60/15 front on my 70. This is with the car modestly dropped. BTW, wheels for less has them for $146 each, including valve stems and center caps. You should be fine, however, I wonder whether you need 15x8 for the rears if you are going to run 245's?

On my 67 I am currently running 265/60/16's on the rear and 225/60/16's on the front with PS Engineering wheels. The rears fill up the wheel wells with only minor rubbing.

69-70 will take as much as a P245/45/17 up front and even a little wider out back. I think its close the same for the earlier ones. The best way to find out for sure is to call up tirerack.com....those guys will know for sure.
