Howdy All,
I'm looking to place the tried and trusty Cragar S/S's or
Magnum 500's under Claire. (Why Claire? Because since
I've been perusing VMF more than working on my car I
decided she's more of an E-Claire and I love to eat!)
Anywho...
Two considerations both being subjective and both under
consideration -

1) For the "BAM" look, what tire/wheel size (with backspacing) would you recommend for the front
and back? (BAM = Big Assed Mustang, wider in back)

2) For the "GLUG" look, what tire/wheel size (with
backspacing would you recommend for the front
and back? (GLUG=level, glued to the ground, same size
in all 4 corners.)

My car is not lowered, but I'm running 255/55r16s all around on vintage45s. There is just a tad of rubbing on the hardest slow turns in front (i.e. it is avoidable). I'm running stock comp. suspension springs (probably softer than anything on the aftermarket) so it is pretty much stock height. These tires have completely changed the feel of the car (I had 14" stock rims before). Now I can corner like I never could before!

I was really torn between these rims, and some 16x8 plain looking steel wheels (stealth look), but I decided to go this way since everyone always asked "where are your hubcaps?"

Doug, I'm running Cragar SS's on my '73 Mach, 15X8, 4 1/4" backspacing with P275R60R15 tires on the rear and 15X7, 4 1/8" backspacing with P25560R15 tires on the front. I have 620 1" lowering springs on the front with no rubbing problems. On the rear I have new stock leaf springs, no rubbing. To check out this combo goto www.mustangsandmore.com/ubb/73429MACH.html
