Hello,
My name is Nathaniel (Nate) Lucas.
Today I found out that Emily Kathryn Smith, my ex-girlfriend of 3 1/2 and currently my best friend...died last night (June 8th, 2002) while out doing her routine jog.
This beautiful person, who loved so many, had so many friends, and had such a wonderful future planned, is now gone. I last saw her Thursday. We had lunch and I fixed a computer at her family business, then gave her a hug and went on my way. If I had ever know that I would never see her again, I would have never let go...
Please, I know people have sent hundreds of e-mail's like this as forwards which we all delete...but this is so real and so final.
I am asking everyone to call your families and call your friends, tell them you love them and just talk for a few minutes about the old times and memories. Be a better person and take the first step. Don't put things off until "tomorrow." And never, ever be afraid to share your feeling with someone. You only get one chance in this strange world...make it count and make it last, for everyone.
The reason I am posting this on here is cause Emily was the one that talked me into buying my Mustang before we left California. She said..."You never know when you'll be able to get back to California...you only live once!" Although she was a foreign car girl at heart, she learned all about my car and things related, helped clean it/work on it, went to shows and cruises with me, and could spot features on a Mustang with the best of them. What I wouldn't give for one more cuise baby...
I love you Emily and I will never forget the times we had.
Sincerely,
Nathaniel Lucas
This is not meant to be a forward, but you can send it on if you want.
