I've been looking for an AOD for my '70 and I got lucky today. I picked up and AOD from a '92 Thunderbird Super Coupe, it has the A servo and high speed governor, I got it for $60. I'm going to rebuild it with a shift kit from Baumann Electronic Controls and a 2400 RPM Converter.

You may not like the shift kit in your AOD. I put a TCI kit in mine and it made the shift point into real high, like it wouldn't shift into OD until I let off of the throttle and then it went in with a "Wham" After doing it, I'm not sure I needed it. Otherwise, it did ok. Be sure and set your TV pressure correctly. Those trans will burn themselves up if the TV pressure isn't set correctly. You want 35 psi at the gauge with the spacer in the linkage at the carb and when you take the spacer out and return to idle, you want around 5 psi. lol Jerry
