Hello All,

Would the spindles, rotors and calipers from a 71 Torino work to swap into a 65 Mustang to get disc brakes? Are they the same as a Granada?

Thanks in advance.

If they are off a 71 Torino, yes they will work-and are better than Granada (calipers are the same as 68 to 73 Mustangs-small two bolt style and rotors have small hub). Spindles according to my interchange should be the D0OZ castings as used on 1970 Mustang models. You will probably have to change to the 1970 and up outer tie rod end (no problem as long as you don't have powersteering on the 65).The Granada caliper is larger and of the slide wedge mounting type and the rotor snout is larger diameter which interferes with stock rim usage. These shouldn't, but make sure it is a 71 model- the Torino in 72 started using the big car brakes/spindles that won't fit earlier cars.

Thanks for the info! I do have power steering, but I think Mustang Steve's bushings will solve that problem.
