I have a 67 coupe project that came with a trailer hitch. Was this ever a factory option? It bolts on the bumper in 2 places and in front of the gas tank in 2 places. There was no wiring for it. I am debating on whether to put this back on or not. I probably wont be pulling anything with the car when its finished. On the other hand, the holes to mount it are already there and would need to be filled if it doent go back on. If its a rare option ill put it on for that reason. The car is not going to be all original anyways. any thoughts?

never heard of a hitch being installed at the factory. would have been done by the dealer.

my 65 fastback had one on it... a FoMoCo stamped trailer hitch. I removed it and filled the holes.

Used original Ford trailer hitches are worth maybe $25-50. Not what I would call a rare option.

I vote for leaving it off too. It's just extra weight if you aren't going to use it.

1967 coupe with vinyl top. 351W engine with C-4. Work in progress.
