What are the chances of taking some aod parts and putting them in a c-6? Thinking I can get more clutches and durability in the c-6 that way. Anybody tried this? Trying to hold over 1000 h.p. and stay with the c-6 w/out having to rebuild every 3 weeks! Thanks!

I believe the aod has more parts compatible with the c4 than the c6. Have you checked with a professional transmission shop? There should be clutch packs with shallower pistons that would allow more clutches and steeles in them. If you can't find someone locally let me know, there is a shop in Mission Kansas and this guy knows his stuff. (Steered me in the right direction on my aod problems).

I e-mailed you a link to another forum. Don't know if you have ever been to it before. Some of the guys on this forum build monster trucks, and pulling trucks, and a lot of them use the C6. They should be able to answer all your questions....

Try going with either a TCI or trans go shift kit and go with kevlar clutches

it should hold up fine......

Get your tranny oil pan heat dispersant coated too....
