I could use some help. My 65 Mustang has the trans kickdown lever that attaches to a bracket on
the manifold. My new Carbureuter has a location to hook up the trans kickdown lever. Should I
somehow attach the lever to the Carb or leave it attached to the bracket on the Manifold. What is
the purpose of the kickdown lever? Thanks for the help. Jeff S.

The carb hook up is for the later style kick down which you don't have. You'll need to use your original bell crank (bracket on the intake) and original kick down which operates off the notch in the accelerator rod. The purpose of this is to let your transmission know that you are at WOT (wide open throttle). If you are in 3rd, at the right RPM's this will cause your C4 to downshift to second.
