Hey guys so I got my floor replaced not long ago and we just noticed last night that the holes in the transmission tunnel brace are not level, probably 1/4-3/8" higher on one side than the other.

Is this a big concern? I have not checked the trans cross member to see if there is any sort of play or adjustment but I would not imagine there is.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Put the bolts through the crossmember and the brace. If it's OK, the center of the crossmember should be parallel to the ground below. I agree with 22 and that should confirm it.

okay i looked at it, the holes on the cross member are NOT level so I will go scope it out now. the passenger side hole is higher from the ground than the drivers side. there is still a chance it got welded in backwards. guess I am up against a 50/50 chance of it being right. it might be time for me to start gambling... maybe

That'd be a lot less than 50/50. It's not symmetrical.

I just painted my crossmember yesterday and bolted it onto my transmission today. There is at least 1" of difference in height.
