Hoping someone can recommend a good stainless steel transverse muffler, mine rusted through at the weld points. I currently have 2.25 inch pipes.
Thanks!

I have never seen such a thing. The steel one on my 68 has been on the car for over 20 years and a lot of miles and has no rust showing.
Too many short runs will build up condensation in the exhaust system and rust it out in short order, not
enough heat build up to burn off the water.

I've been adding Seafoam to the fuel. could this have caused the rust problem in the muffler?

Is your exhaust single or dual?

Dual. I now have learned the mufflers for the transverse systems are made in China and none are available at this time!

My system is from Precision Exhaust. They currently are waiting for China to ship them the mufflers. Looking for something that won't break the bank. My opinion, a muffler over $125.00 is excessive!

The complete transverse system I have, including resonators was stamped “Made in Canada”
Bought about 22 years ago.
