I am planning to put tri-y headers in a 65 A-code. Do I need to use a HiPo z-bar or use original z-bar. Thankx

I have Tri-Ys and what looks like a home-made z-bar. However, I have thought that Tri-Ys can be fitted with both z-bars.

You can use either bar.
I have found that some brands of Tri-Y's my need the '66 style adjustable lower clutch rod. Has to do with the positioning of the inside tube. Also while your at it check for interference with the pitman arm. Some headers need to be dimpled. Getting all this to work is what doomed our all stainless steel Tri-y's we had for a while.
